Forrest FTW

Ever since Forrest Griffin emerged on The Ultimate Fighter six years ago, he has been a favorite among fans of MMA. He has one of the most outgoing and outrageous personalities in the UFC, and that is partially why people like him so much. The other is the fact that he comes out 100% every time and tries to put on a show for the fans. Despite falling on some tough times lately (losing two of his last three bouts), I believe Forrest still has what it takes to be a contender in the UFC. I don't think about the Forrest Griffin that got knocked out in back to back bouts with Rashad Evans and Anderson Silva, I think about the Forrest Griffin that beat Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson consecutively to become the #1 contender for the title and eventually win the title. If that Forrest Griffin shows up on February 5th to fight Rich "Ace" Franklin, I can see Forrest taking home a decision. After that happens, I would like to see Forrest versus the winner of Jon Jones/Ryan Bader for #1 contender status.

Also, if you haven't checked it out, I suggest you pick up Forrest's newest book titled, "Be Ready When the Shit Goes Down: A Survival Guide to the Apocalypse."
